Vintage medical table lamp, 1960s

Vintage medical lamp produced by Heliolux in the 1960s. Made in Austria. Used in the medical field during the 1960s. This lamp was designed to produce heat. It features a polished aluminium reflector and a Bakelite switch. The paint and all parts of the lamp are original. Requires an Edison E27 screw bulb. These lamps originally had ultraviolet bulbs. They were considered therapeutic ultraviolet rays that relieve pain and other ailments. Dimensions: height 42.5 cm, shade diameter 30 cm, base diameter 19 cm. The lamp shows signs of wear and patina. A beautiful lamp for an industrial or loft-style decor with a striking effect.
