Old garden bench of the 50s / 60s in perforated metal by rené malaval. Paint of green origin, marks of time and oxidation give it a superb patina. Beautiful curved and rounded shapes. Good condition of use. Long: 198cm - prof: 66cm - top 75cm - high seat: 43cm - pds: 18kg. René malaval, a welder by trade, had the idea of recycling the sheets of sheet metal discarded following the perforation process for the manufacture of ammunition caps during the second world war. From 1945, he used these perforated plates to create, at a reduced cost, furniture for urban planning and for mass distribution: benches, garbage cans, chairs and terrace tables. This furniture, published by metal block, is part of the post-war french industrial design.
