Grand Bouquet – Boch Frères at Keramis 1st class – 1855. Boch Frères Keramis is one of the great Belgian earthenware manufacturers, founded in La Louvière in the 19th century. The inscription "1855" does not correspond to the manufacturing date of your plate, but refers to an award received at the 1855 Exposition Universelle in Paris. This marking was reused for many years. The Grand Bouquet decoration is a classic of the manufacture, inspired by Delft blue earthenware. The crazing is uniform and regular.
