Rare pair of chairs stamped Thonet, the first model created in 1850 by Michael Thonet for the Schwarzenberg Palace in Vienna, considered to be the "typical" chair from which numerous variations resulted. In good vintage condition, the canework of one of the chairs is a little "soft" and one of the curved wood of the strapping is split (see photos). It will be discreetly consolidated for sale.
