Pair of vintage 1960 Baumann Pégase chairs

Pair of two-tone Baumann chairs, model Pégase attributed to Pierre Guariche. Vintage, from 1968, stamped under the seat. The structure is made of solid beech with tapered legs. The backs are wooden, covered with foam and upholstered in faux leather. The faux leather is original with light grey shades for the backs. The seats are upholstered in new black faux leather. Chairs are in good usable condition, with no breaks and are stable. These chairs were selected to furnish the Le Corbusier housing unit in Firminy. They are appealing due to their airy design, particularly the slightly elevated seat. Dimensions: width 42 cm / depth 50 cm / back height 86 cm, seat height 46 cm.
