Oval coffee table by Georges Pelletier for La Roue Vallauris - France, 1970

This ceramic coffee table, designed by Georges Pelletier for La Roue Vallauris in the 1970s, perfectly illustrates the charm of mid-20th century French design. Its oval top is adorned with finely hand-painted tiles, featuring bold concentric geometric patterns in shades of blue and gold. The steel structure surrounds the three tops. Its retractable extensions echo the artistic style of the main top. Some tiles are broken (see our photos), but the table retains all its charm. The tiles are numbered and assembled without being glued, allowing for easy replacement in case of damage.
