Scandinavian lounge chair Esko Pajamies “Pele” for Lepokalusto, Finland, 1970s

This lounge chair was made by the Finnish furniture company Lahden Lepokalusto Oy in the 1970s. The Pele chair by Finnish designer Esko Pajamies is a very rare piece and undoubtedly his most remarkable chair design. The chair is made of oak and has its original suede upholstery. It is a bit dry on the inside. The green suede perfectly complements the dark oak. The chair shows small marks and consistent wear; the suede has a partially different colour.
