Striking Swedish pendant lamp from the 1960s with a beautifully pressed clear glass shade in a hexagonal form, suspended from a slim brass rod with a cylindrical brass collar securing the shade at the top.The glass is the real star of this piece. The six faces of the shade alternate between two distinct pressed patterns — broad vertical ribs on the flat panels, and a finely textured grid of small raised squares on the angled corner facets. The interplay between these two surfaces creates a wonderfully complex play of light and shadow, both when unlit and when illuminated, when the shade glows with a warm rosy hue and the patterns are thrown into sharp relief across the surrounding walls and ceiling. The open bottom of the shade allows light to spill downward freely, while the textured glass diffuses and refracts the light sideways in every direction. The height of the lamp is adjustable via the brass rod.The glass is in immaculate condition with no chips or cracks. A faint line is visible near the top of the shade — this is not a crack but a trace from the production process, clearly visible on close inspection. The brass collar and rod show a gentle patina consistent with age, and are in very good vintage condition. Newly wired and suitable for an E27 light source.
