This magnificent Empire coffee service is made of antique soft porcelain. The set consists of a coffee pot, a sugar bowl, and six cups. This Empire period set comes from a porcelain factory in Paris known as "Vieux Paris" and dates from the second half of the 19th century. Two cups are marked with an impressed J. The elongated shape of the coffee pot is elegant and timeless, with the spout ending in a swan's neck. The cups come with saucers. In good condition, the coffee pot measures 23 cm X 20 cm, and the sugar bowl measures 16 cm X 10 cm in diameter. The cups measure approximately 8 cm X 6.3 cm. The coffee pot has small chips along the edge of the lid and yellowed stains on the surface. One cup has a chip and a hairline crack. Note: signs of use and wear to the gilding in places.
