Superb Limoges porcelain coffee service by Ribes, with a typically Art Deco decoration. The cups and saucers feature an elegant stylized floral motif, enhanced with fine gold gilded lines and silver inserts with iridescent reflections reminiscent of mother-of-pearl (pearlescent luster). This service consists of: - 12 cups (height 6 cm, diameter 8 cm), - 11 saucers (diameter 14 cm), - 1 covered sugar bowl (height 15 cm), - 1 milk jug (height 12.5 cm), - 1 sugar tongs. The geometric lines, the combination of gold and mother-of-pearl with changing reflections, as well as the finesse of the floral decoration, perfectly reflect the spirit of the 1920s and 30s and French Art Deco. Very good condition overall: no chips or cracks, gilding slightly worn in places (handles, buttons), small brown marks on the bottom of some bowls, without altering the aesthetics. A refined service representative of the elegance of the French bourgeoisie between the two wars, ideal for collectors or Art Deco lovers. Superb set!.
