Vintage design studio ceramic butterfly wall plaque by Gerhard Liebenthron, Germany, 1982. Gerhard Liebenthron was born in Neustrelitz in 1925. From 1948 to 1951, he studied at the North German Art Academy in Bremen. In 1952, he opened his own workshop in Bremen and since 1955, participated in numerous national and international exhibitions. Liebenthron passed away in Bremen in 2005. This unique piece reflects his timeless craftsmanship and artistry. The item is in very good condition with light wear and patina consistent with age and use.
