Vintage butterfly ashtray

Superb and rare vintage salon set serving as a courtesy ashtray or pocket tray in the shape of a butterfly. A very clever three-dimensional piece: the textured central body is made of gilded bronze and features 4 independent and removable wings (2 large and 2 smaller, respecting the butterfly's morphology). Each wing serves as an individual bowl or ash rest with a perfectly smooth edge. Raw metal on the back. In excellent aesthetic condition with a superb original patina. Ideal for a table decoration in the style of a Cabinet of Curiosities, Hollywood Regency, or Mid-Century Modern. It can also be repurposed as a jewellery holder.
