Pendant lamp with murano blown glass globe with raised part inside, chromed metal suspension shaft. "membrane" model published by venini and created by the italian designer toni zuccheri. Electricity redone. Good general condition, some pitting on the chromed metal. Period circa 1960. Dimensions: h 60 cm from the shaft to the base of the globe (adjustable by the wire), globe diameter: approximately 25 cm toni zuccheri, born in 1937, is an italian designer known for his innovative work with glass. He began his career as an apprentice at venini at 14 and became influential in the field, particularly in the 1960s and 1970s. Zuccheri is known for his experiments with materials, combining glass with copper, mineral pigments and bronze, which gave rise to unique designs such as the culbuto crater lamps and the patchwork wall sconces. His creations are often associated with nature, reflecting his artistic heritage from his father, the painter luigi zuccheri. He remains an important figure in the history of italian design, recognized for his technical innovations and creativity in the design of glass objects.
