Cream Gispen 1407 armchair by Wim Rietveld, 1950s

An iconic design from 1954 and still incredibly popular! This is the Gispen 1407 chair. Recognizable by its upholstered back and Bakelite armrests. This understated armchair offers comfortable seating and is beautiful in its simplicity. These chairs were upholstered (by the previous owner) in high-quality Kvadrat Steelcut Trio fabric (90% wool and 10% nylon). A beautiful example of Dutch design from the 20th century. There are two chairs in stock. These are sold separately; the price is per chair. In good condition with minor signs of wear (patina) commensurate with age.
