Danish vintage teak wall unit attributed to Preben Sorensen, 1960s

This elegant Danish shelving wall unit is very reminiscent of the iconic 1960s modular PS System furniture designed by Preben Sørensen. It was made in the very same period, and it presents the same technical solutions and high quality. Overall set size is H: 170 / W: 243 / D: 40 cm. Mastery of Danish mid-century craftsmanship is shown in rich-grained teak veneer and solid wood details. All the shelves and cabinets are adjustable, allowing for the display of personal items or art, regardless of size. Its modularity allows for flexible configuration. The arrangement of the shelves and cabinet can be easily changed. The shown setup is just an example. The assembly system is simple and intuitive, with components mounted on solid wood rails using brass hangers and pins. Perfect for the living room or home office, this wall unit is an entirely modular shelving system. The unit has been fully renovated. The wood has been cleaned, and finished with a thin coat of satin lacquer. Brass parts have been slightly polished.
