Unique pair of ceramic lamps by Marian Zawadzki, each lamp features a different handmade decoration. Produced by Tilgmans in 1950. Height 33 cm, 66 cm with a lampshade. Very good condition, electrification untested. This remarkable piece of mid-century Swedish modernist design is the work of Marian Zawadzki (1912-1978), who was a professor and later an artist and ceramicist for Tilgmans Keramik in Gothenburg, Sweden. Zawadzki's experimentation with the sgraffito technique allowed Tilgmans ceramics to gain great popularity and appreciation, and his work became exemplary for Tilgmans.
