Coffee table by Julien de Covemaeker, also known as "J. Belarti", it consists of glazed ceramic tiles, with the beige tiles made from volcanic lava, making them more matte than the brightly coloured ones. Julien de Covemaeker (1927-2008) was indeed the internationally renowned ceramist from Ostend, Belgium, known for his very surrealist design, accentuated by iconic figures.
