A remarkable vintage coffee table combining a glossy burl wood top with black lacquer. The warm amber burl veneer is divided by lines of black lacquer in a bold geometric grid — two large panels framing a central band of six small squares — and is set into a wide bevelled black frame. The low top rests on four solid black square legs, giving the piece a grounded and architectural look with a touch of Japanese-inspired minimalism. A true statement piece for a living room or lounge area. In vintage condition with visible signs of use. The glossy top shows fine surface scratches and slight marks. The black lacquered frame has scratches and several small chips along its edges and corners, revealing lighter wood in places. The legs have scuffs and a few small chips, mainly at their base.
