Storage box

This storage box was made, I imagine, by a model maker for his own use. Indeed, I found some small parts of model aircraft and magazines dealing with this subject. And it is perfectly suited for this use because it has a double bottom that allows to store small parts, tools, glue tubes underneath (compartmentalized part), and to store in the upper part the small model being assembled. But we can also imagine using it to store drawing or knitting material... Given the wood used, a kind of three-layer plywood, I think it must be about twenty years old. It is in good structural condition, solid, with small functional golden clasps, but does not hide its age and the use that has been made of it: various traces (stains, marks, scratches) and the varnish (stain?) on the upper part must have taken the sun because it seems faded. This box measures 41.5 cm wide, 26 cm deep, 13.5 cm high. The bottom compartment is 5 cm high, and the top one 6 cm. It weighs just over 1.7 kg.
