A beautiful pair of solid oak armchairs, typical of the Amsterdam School architectural style of the 1930s. Their geometric and structured silhouette, marked by straight lines and assertive volumes, perfectly reflects the expressiveness of the movement. The high, slightly inclined backs and straight armrests lend a truly sculptural presence while offering comfortable seating. The seats and backs are upholstered in a vintage gray-green fabric with a matte texture, which harmonizes beautifully with the warm patina of the oak. The armchairs rest on particularly stable frame legs, while the closed lower panels—a signature of the Amsterdam School—reinforce the overall architectural appeal. Born in the Netherlands in the 1910s and active until the early 1930s, the Amsterdam School movement initially developed in architecture before expanding to furniture, interior design, and the decorative arts. It is distinguished by a strong expressionism, where volume and sculptural dynamism play a central role. Dimensions. Height: 116 cm. Seat height: 52 cm. Width: 63 cm. Depth: 65 cm.
