Small secretary with black and gold lid

Period: ca. 1950, restyled. This pretty lid secretary is small enough to suit smaller spaces all while remaining practical when necessary. It has a sturdy construction. The lid opens to reveal a writing surface and several vertical lockers. The writing surface and interior space have been lined with a black faux suede fabric. The office surmounts a larger storage compartment with two doors that have vertical handles. The four spiral-turned legs give this room a renaissance style character and are what makes this desk special. The legs, profiles and handles have been painted gold to accentuate them against the black satin background. The lock works and has its key. Status: good. This article has been repainted.
