Polychrome iron terracotta sauce boat "Bengali"

Antique sauce boat in ironstone, stamped "Terre de Fer – Bengali". It is decorated with a charming polychrome pattern featuring a bird amidst flowers and foliage, highlighted by a raspberry and burgundy striped border. Its old glaze shows a lovely natural crackle, dating from the late 19th century. Notably, there is a chip on the rim (visible in the photos), as well as some signs of wear.
