Magnificent ashtray or pocket tray in Art Nouveau style made of solid brass (or bronze alloy), dating from the early 20th century (circa 1910-1920). This refined decorative piece represents a dancer with flowing veils, inspired by the legendary Loïe Fuller — the American pioneer of serpentine dance who was the absolute muse of the Belle Époque in Paris. The fluid and organic lines of her draped dress form perfect stylized receptacles, making this object both a superb table sculpture and a functional accessory. Condition & Restoration: The item has been professionally restored and preserved according to museum standards. It has undergone gentle ultrasonic cleaning to remove dust and surface waxes while preserving its dark and authentic patina in the crevices, which enhances the details of the casting. To ensure long-term protection, it has been sealed with high-quality microcrystalline wax (Renaissance Wax), providing a soft sheen while protecting the metal from fingerprints and future oxidation. Ideal as a jewelry dish for rings on a vanity, or as a cigar ashtray on a desk or bar. • Style: Art Nouveau / Belle Époque. • Period: 1910 - 1920. • Material: Solid brass / Bronze. • Dimensions: 17 cm X 15 cm X 4 cm. • Weight: 330 g (Heavy for its size) • Condition: Excellent antique condition. Restored with original patina.
