Set of 2 Gien Magellan "Caribbean" cups and saucers, vintage earthenware

Superb set of two fine earthenware cups and saucers from the Magellan "Caribbean" collection by the Gien pottery factory, a collection no longer in production and highly sought after by collectors. The decoration depicts a Caribbean coastal scene with sailboats, birds, flora, and an exotic landscape, painted in a luminous palette of blue, yellow, and ochre. The saucers feature a wavy rim and a yellow border, while the cups have a matching handle and delicately detailed decoration. ✣ Dimensions. • Saucer: 15 cm diameter. • Cup: 9.5 cm diameter × 5.5 cm height. ✨ Condition.
