Vintage design. Elegant Bugholz armchair by Jacob & Josef Kohn based on a design by Otto Wagner from the turn of the century. A piece of early modern design. A functional design with a special combination of materials. A particular feature of this design lies in the use of plywood, a then-new material, combined here with classic bent beech wood. The elegant curves of the finely crafted armrests, which flow seamlessly into the backrest, are remarkable. The most striking element is the backrest, especially the detail of the concave curved plywood panel with large symmetrical perforations, showcasing a reduced ornamentation. The use of plywood also allows for the seat to be shaped. The chair has been restored and treated. It is in very good condition with signs of wear and a patina.
