Seaside Barbotine Ashtray/Cup

Mid-century marine ashtray; small round ashtray with a cigarette rest, placed on a rounded base decorated with raised slipware: starfish, seashells, and crab legs. Made entirely of glazed earthenware, dark green glaze, with details in red, ochre yellow, and pale blue. 1950s/1960s. In very good condition, with a tiny chip in the glaze at the corner of the cigarette rest.
