Two Kohn bistro chairs no. 55, circa 1910, not Thonet.

These two chairs are completely original, their plywood seats are period and bear the number XIV in the Kohn catalogue from 1905. This model is slightly larger than a "bistro" chair but less bulky than a living room chair. Each chair is stamped on the inside of the seat rail. The lot is in perfect condition, stable and solid. A very beautiful selection of woods by Kohn at the beginning of the century. Seat diameter: 39 cm, seat height: 47 cm, total height: 84 cm. Light walnut colour under shellac finish.
