The “karate” model was designed by Michel Cadestin for the French publishing house Airborne in the 1970s. This designer will be recognized for his avant-garde creations, notably the furniture he created for the Pompidou Center in 1976. He will also begin research using new materials such as molded plastic and latex foam. The karate model is part of one of the designer's most emblematic creations. It is composed of an overall structure in white molded fiberglass. The seat is padded with foam and reupholstered with dark blue corduroy fabrics. In very good condition, wear consistent with age and use. Velvet reference: camino col 843.
