A very beautiful piece signed F-D. Monna*, Toulouse, with subtle details and a time-worn patina that gives it a lot of character. *François-Dominique Monna (1849 – 1907) The Toulouse-based company F-D. Monna, founded before 1887 by François-Dominique Monna (1849-1907), produced church ornaments in Toulouse such as religious statues, altars, pulpits, and Stations of the Cross, in terracotta, stone, wood, and marble. Dimensions: Height: 32 cm. Base width: 11.2 cm. Depth: 9.5 cm. Weight: 880 grams. The edge of the base is damaged, with broken ends on the border, see photos.
