String shelving system. Vintage String shelving system. Designed in 1949, manufactured in 1963, model: 'Continental'. Modular shelving system, shelves with stained veneer, aluminum ladders, shelves can be individually installed at any height. System consists of: 3 X aluminum ladders H. 186.5cm, D. 20.5/30.5cm; 12 X shelves W. 78cm, D. 20cm; 2 X shelves W. 78cm, D. 30cm. Manufacturer's label on the underside. Age-appropriate signs of wear in the form of abrasions on the wood, some slight veneer damage, wall bracket for the ladders missing.
