Originally from Andalusia, the Kharraz family emigrated to Tunisia in the early 17th century for its clay deposits. The workshop called "Thameur" left a lasting mark on the city of Nabeul, located on the main thoroughfare. A wide variety of pottery was produced there (plates, jars, bowls, etc.). The decorative tiles are a symbiosis of two civilisations, the Andalusian with its geometric characteristics and the Ottoman with its beautiful floral combinations.
