Mummenthaler & Meier 'Desk in a Box' Switzerland 1928 / 1950s

Amazing mult functional desk secretary designed by mummenthaler and meier in 1928. This specific model is form around 1950s. When closed it looks like a normal cabinet, but when opened it is a fully equiped working station with many shelves, a pull-out desk, a drawer underneath the desk and this one also has the original plywood pull-out lamp, which is a very nice addition to the unit. The lamp goes on when you pull it out. Very functional and really cool looking. It is made of beech wood on the outside and beech and teak on the inside. Fantastic piece and unique in its kind. It is in very good condition. On top of the lamp it has a darker spot, due to a bulb of too high wattage.
