Secretary desk in cherry wood from the 18th century which has the rare particularity of opening onto a series of small original drawers which gives it the appearance of a notary's filing cabinet. Their front (in blond mahogany), enhanced with their small brass handle, contrasts with the dark structure of the file cabinet and creates a very beautiful contrast. The flap is held in place by hinges and two beautiful metal arcs on the sides. It opens onto an old green fabric. Above, a very thin drawer, surrounded like the entire piece of furniture with brass rods (all present), opens and closes with its key and its lock - just like the flap and the doors at the bottom. The fluted uprights meet the top legs and are topped by an original saint anne marble plaque (a corner at the back has been restored). There is a very clear slit on the flap as well as a repair on the grooves of the rear right foot (discreet old work). Note also that the old keyhole of the flap has also been reported. Apart from these minimal defects and usual wear, this piece of furniture is in excellent condition.
