Large vintage faience amphora vase from Mont-Saint-Michel – Signed AK

Guaranteed crush for this superb and large amphora-shaped vintage earthenware vase, entirely hand-painted and bearing the prestigious local signature "Mont-Saint-Michel" accompanied by the artist's monogram "AK" under its base. This piece stands out for the exceptional richness of its abundant decoration in cobalt blue, prairie green, yellow, and orange glaze. On each side, a central medallion depicts an exotic bird perched above a blooming flower, surrounded by motifs of scrolls, dotted lines, and finely detailed geometric friezes. Its original silhouette features two delicate small handles on the shoulders and rests on a scalloped foot with cut-outs, typical of high-end folk art. In excellent condition. The glaze has retained all its brilliance and vibrant colours. No cracks or major chips, a very sound piece that has been perfectly preserved (see detailed photos of the neck, interior, and signed base).
