Set of German Vintage Space Age chairs 150 by Herbert Hirche for Mauser

Two Space Age armchairs from the SEAT 150 series by Mauser based on a design by Herbert Hirche from the 1970s. The large seat, which appears to balance on the slender frame, is remarkable. The thick upholstery is finished in orange. The true feature of this design is the chrome tubular steel base with four parallel tubes grouped under the seat and widening downwards to form pads. The ends of the pads are closed with hemispherical metal caps. The armchairs are in good original condition with signs of use on the upholstery. The original upholstery is slightly stained and has a few holes; you may want to reupholster the chairs.
