Beautiful German table lamp made by Peill and Putzler around 1970. Amazing wavy glass globe and chrome parts with an aluminium reflector inside the globe. This is the medium version and the model is called TA21. It received the iF Design Award in 1975. The Futura lamps by Peill & Putzler were also made in smoked crystal glass “topaz” with brass parts. Produced in several sizes. Made as wall lamps, ceiling lights, and pendants. Some say this lamp is called “Anemone.” Others believe it is a Murano lamp designed by Toni Zuccheri, but it is only a resemblance. Some sellers claim the model is called “Wave, ” which is not true. It is also often attributed to Koch & Lowy for the design. Koch & Lowy is an American lighting company and not a design team. The company only sold this lamp and called it Maelstrom.
