Vintage design XL wall cabinet – Hörz

Striking modular wall cabinet of German quality. Black sleek, sturdy beams with white shelves in between. The first owner fully customised this cabinet to personal needs. For example, behind the yellow aluminium panel, there is a 'hidden' space to hide a power strip or extension cord for hi-fi equipment. Here and there, holes were made (unfortunately) to connect cables to other compartments or columns (see last photo for the most noticeable). The bottom of each column has adjustable feet to level the cabinet. The bar cabinet and the large space above it have, respectively, a mirror in clear glass (behind the flap door) and a mirror in smoked glass (slightly weathered). The aluminium colour panels can still be moved if desired. They are double-sided coloured (choice of high gloss or matt – in the photos we used the high gloss side). The black aluminium panels are 2 sliding doors. In short, a very versatile piece of furniture (Hörz Wandsysteme) with a sleek look. Over time, the plastic 'veneer/foil' has yellowed but is not very disturbing. The colour panels and the sleek black lines immediately remind you of P. Mondrian or Gerrit Rietveld. The wall cabinet is in vintage but very usable condition. The furniture has signs of age and use. Illegible label on the back. Hörz produced versatile 'Wandsysteme' used in studies, offices and living rooms. They were active in the 50s/70s. Height: 241cm. Width: 376cm. Depth: 38cm. Can be fully dismantled.
