Victorian walnut library with Gothic glass doors.

We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning Victorian library bookcase from around 1880, made of burr walnut with Gothic-style glass doors. This bookcase is exquisite, designed for a library but can naturally fit anywhere. It is finished in burr walnut, which is rare for an antique piece; the upper sections have been painted green, which is very fashionable at the moment for library pieces as it allows them to blend better into a contemporary setting. The condition is very good: thoroughly cleaned, waxed, and hand-polished from top to bottom. It shows signs of patina related to age and use. Dimensions (measured at the widest point): height 219 cm, width 128.5 cm, depth 37.5 cm.
