Compact, versatile Danish teak secretaire cabinet with a fold-down writing surface, and a hideen vanity, made by Storgaard Nielsens Mobelfabrik in the 1960s. The piece has softly curved side panels, tapered legs, sculpted teak handles and a warm, beautiful consistent teak grain. Dimensions: Overall: H.: 109 / W.: 86 / D.: 44 cm. The upper section includes 4 small drawers, open compartments and a mirror. The fold-down front creates a practical writing surface, while the lower section offers 3 spacious drawers for storage. The entire piece reminds a sculpure with perfectly executed details and high and sofisticated carpentry. The cabinet retains an original sticker, confirming its authenticity. Aditional dimensions: Depth with writing surface extended: 64 cm. Clearance under cabinet: 22 cm. Storage details: 3 lower drawers, height: 12 cm each. 4 upper drawers, height: 4.5 cm each. Mirror: H 40 × W 20 cm. A functional and space-efficient mid-century piece, suitable as a compact writing desk, dressing bureau or decorative storage cabinet. Also there is a glass manufacture's sticker on the mirror. The cabinet was sold by Illum Bolighus, a prestigous retail store in Copenhagen.
