Description
Bulgarian artisan liquor service from the 1960s. It comes from troyan, the historic cradle of bulgarian pottery. It is glazed terracotta with glazes of different hand-painted hues that offer a nice contrast with the dominant brown color. According to legend, the mandala drawings on the pottery are related to the peacocks of the court of the ottoman empire. Sober in its motifs it also retains a lightness due to its small size. The more you look at it, the more beautiful you think it is. It's in excellent condition. Carafe height: 17 cm. Glass height: 6 cm.
