The piece has been sanded, cleaned, and hand-polished with a professional clear wax to protect the wood while highlighting the shades and grain of the marquetry. The original brass knobs have been polished to enhance their authenticity, and the detachable pivoting mirror has also been restored to harmonise with the piece.
