Late afternoon in La Roche-Posay (Creuse) Oil on cardboard. Signed and located at the bottom right. Circa 1910. Titled on the back. Has a numbered label on the back. 23 X 32 cm. Framed 36 X 45 cm. Very good condition. Charles Ripault, active in the late 19th to the early 20th century, is an artist that some classify within the School of Nice, as the Mediterranean coastline greatly inspired him (Golfe Juan, calanques of Troyas, Cannes, La Napoule...). He is known for landscapes and other coastlines, notably La Rochelle (the Valin quay).
