Minimalist TC6 Table Lamp by Aldo van den Nieuwelaar for Eikelenboom 1968
Iconic table lamp, model TC6, designed by Aldo van den Nieuwelaar in 1968. The first producer was Artimeta who only made 148 pieces. After that Eikelenbook had a small production run. Unlike the first edition, Eikelenboom introduced a 2-step dimmer in it, which is very functional, as the tube can be too bright sometimes. This particular version is by Eikelenboom and has the original sticker at the side. Another extra with this version is that it can be used as a wall lamp as well. Fantastic lamp! A masterpiece in minimalism. A square and a circle, nothing more nothing less. The square is made of white lacquered metal and the size of it is determined by the standard size of a circular fluorescent tube. This lamp is also part of the collection of the MoMa in New York and the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam among others. The lamp is in excellent original condition, minimal traces of use.
