Baluster vase in faience by Jean-Claude Malarmey (1932-1992) from Vallauris. After his training at the School of Fine Arts in Reims, Malarmey settled in Vallauris in 1953-1954, where he reunited with his friends Robert Pérot and Dominique Baudard, with whom he founded the Vieux-Moulin workshop in an old oil mill. In 1957, he became self-employed. This vase is adorned with a stylised foliage decoration, in a muted tone of beige, ochre, and green, one of the characteristics of his work. It is signed under the base "Malarmey" "Vallauris".
