Magnificent large old painting, still life, oil on linen canvas, signed L. Porte and dated 1888. The composition features a bouquet of chrysanthemums in shades of white, yellow, orange, and red, arranged in a brown vase placed on a blue tablecloth, accompanied by a notebook and a knife on the right. Naturalistic style. Canvas alone measures 46x40.5cm, frame 59.5x51x3cm. The canvas, visibly unvarnished, is in very good condition for its age with a few discreet signs of wear. The frame, made of wood and gilded stucco, has been restored at home, completely repainted, and the stucco is cracked but solidified. Three old hangers are present on the back; it is advisable to replace them for secure hanging. Weighs approximately 2-3kg.
