Set of 8 antique snail plates - Gien porcelain France

Set of 8 vintage snail plates in glazed earthenware from the famous GIEN factory (stamped on the back "Porcelaine Gien France"). Ideal for your festive meals, family gatherings, or for collectors of bistro / retro tableware. Capacity: 12 snails per plate. Colour: honey/brown with a lovely speckled border. Dimensions: approximately 20 X 21 cm. Condition of the lot: 5 plates are in very good overall condition, with superb reflections. 2 plates show a crazing of the glaze (fine surface cracks under the glaze), which is quite normal and typical of old Gien earthenware, giving them authentic charm. 1 plate has a visible crack running through the centre (see dedicated photo) but remains solid.
