Set of 4 Castelli blue Plia folding chairs

Set of 4 very rare blue Plia chairs. With Plia, Italian designer Giancarlo Piretti redefined the folding chair in 1967 for the manufacturer Anonima Castelli and brought it up to date. Equipped with a three-ball joint and made of steel and transparent Cellidor plastic, the Plia folding chair was immediately appealing. It has since been a cult object of “Italian design”, awarded several times and a centerpiece of the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The Plia folding chair is made up of a chrome-plated tubular steel frame, a backrest and a seat in Cellidor plastic. Very good general condition, traces of use.
