"La Soirée D'Hyver" original colour engraving of 1774

Original engraving by François-Robert Ingouf after the work of the painter Sigmund Freudenberger (1745-1801). This chisel engraving was presented among 12 other prints at the "Monument of the Physical and Moral Costume" of 1784 at the Grand Palais. Very beautiful proof enhanced in color and preserved in a gilded wooden frame. Two other black and white prints are in the permanent collections of the National Art Gallery in Washington D.C. and the second at the Getty Museum in Los Angeles.
