Romano Bianchi alabaster ashtray Italy

This beautiful ashtray with gray veining on a beige and light brown background, in a brutalist style, smooth on the horizontal sides and rough around the edges, is made of italian alabaster as evidenced by the label still present underneath. It would be an ashtray designed by romano bianchi, a company that has existed since the 1950s. In fact, the ashtrays were one of the flagship products of this artisanal company, made from alabaster extracted from the family quarry in volterra and the label underneath, although partially erased, reveals an acronym regularly attributed to this brand (i sent an email to the brand to obtain confirmation, I will keep you informed here as soon as I receive a response). This one seems to me to date from the 70s, and it is in rather good condition, still quite smooth, no cracks, but obviously it has some signs of its age: small abrasions on the edges on the upper side, some abrasions more significant on the edges of the underside as well as a chip which measures approximately 1 cm, but these are barely visible when the ashtray is placed on the table. This ashtray measures approximately 17 to 19 cm in diameter with a thickness of 4 cm, and it weighs approximately 1.8 kg.
