Antique oak filing cabinet from Central Europe. It comes from mid-20th century office furniture, when this type of furniture organized cards and documents in offices and archives. Pieces of this type equipped offices and libraries, combining a sliding curtain door with a compartmentalized interior featuring small individual drawers. The rectangular body closes with a horizontal slatted curtain door that slides inward, revealing a series of drawers with brass label holders. The wood retains a warm and uniform hue, with wear typical of office use visible on the handles and the curtain mechanism.
